Mr Andree Mangels, General Director, Adecco Malaysia & Vietnam, shares:
“Youth unemployment is a well-documented phenomenon in Vietnam: over 500,000 youngsters are unemployed, in which 126,900 has a Bachelor’s Degree, according to the Ministry of Labor, War Invalids and Social Affairs. Despite completing the education program, many still haven’t acquired work experience – which is crucial for the employer. We want to bring this opportunity to Vietnam youth. The ‘CEO for One Month’ program is a unique opportunity. It helps young people thrive in their careers and increase their confidence and exposure, by giving them highly effective work-based learning inside a Fortune 500 company. It is a testament to the strength of the program that many candidates join us and our customers in permanent roles after it has finished.”
Pham Phuong Linh, Adecco Vietnam 2018 CEO for One Month reflects on her experience:
“The program is an exclusive chance to grow, which helps me to gain experiences and insights that I don’t think I will have at 21 years old. I have never considered that I’ll have the experience of a CEO, running a Global Fortune 500 company when I just graduated. The program opened many doors to connect with company leaders, understand the core values of the recruitment industry, and get a big picture as a CEO.”
Ngoc will start her ‘CEO for One Month’ term on July 1st 2019. Follow our social media channels, including Facebook, LinkedIn and Instagram for the most recent updates on Ngoc’s life as the 2019 Vietnam ‘CEO for One Month’.
