Electro-Mechanical Sourcing Engineer

Job summary

A new opportunity as Electro-Mechanical Sourcing Engineer position has just arisen in a growing foreign EMS company based around Ho Chi Minh city. They are looking for a highly competent candidate to oversee technical side in factory to meet customer's product quality satisfaction.

Job Responsibilities

Report to Director, Electro-Mechanical Commodity, dotted line into Vietnam General Manager

Identify and assess suitable suppliers to meet company needs, across multiple electro-mechanical commodities and form partnerships with those that provide the best quality material, at the lowest price and the best service.

Manage supplier relationship including new quotations, negotiating orders and contracts to grow and develop sustainable business together

Support suppliers to improve capability and quality in line with our customer expectations

Expedite customer requests when required and handle any unanticipated requests or other problems on materials purchased

Provide accurate information to company on supplier availability, deliver timelines, and cost

Perform supplier audits to company’s contractual and technical requirements.

Experience requirements

Knowledge and experience of manufacturing processes specifically relating to stampings, wire harness, extrusions, die-casting, injection molding, sheet metal fabrication

Knowledge of mechanical product design and manufacturing process.

Familiarity with ISO 9001, IATF 16949 Quality standards

Ability to interpret mechanical drawings and understand technical requirements.

Highly motivated, can-do attitude

Self-started who can work independently but also work closely with support of full team

Initiate and participate in the improvement of procurement practices.

Excellent English written and verbal communication skills 

Preferred experience with 2D and 3D CAD software (e.g., PRO-E, Solid works, AutoCAD) and ERP

Strong work ethic and ability to collaborate with multidisciplinary teams

Willing to travel (domestic and international)

Education requirements

B.E. in Mechanical or Manufacturing Engineering

3-5 years of related experience (strategic sourcing and supplier Management for custom commodities)

8:00 – 17:00, Monday to Friday, Sat if needed
