Burmese Linguist/Translator

Job summary

Our client is a Regional Language Vendor in Asia, are now looking for potential candidate for position of Burmese Translator with the above job scopes and requirements

Job Responsibilities

As the Burmese Linguist/Translator, you will report to Project Manager and be responsible for the following:

• Translate/Edit Marketing/IT/Policy content from English to Burmese.

• The successful candidate will work within a team responsible for the translation and editing of the content, press releases, and other varied internal documents.

• Adaptability and flexibility, as well as the ability to make effective use of all available resources, are key to this role.

• The texts to be translated will be from English into Burmese, and there is a substantial amount of editing to be done on texts already written in English or Burmese.

• Localization testing will also account for a significant amount of the workload.

Experience requirements

❖ Experience

• At least 3 years of experience in translation

❖ Skills

• Native Burmese Speaker.

• Currently living in Vietnam or willing to relocate and work at Vietnam Head Office.

• Good command of English in both written and spoken.

• Strong interpersonal and communication skills, sense of teamwork and responsibilities

• Creative and able to take initiative working independently or within a team

• Able to do precise, accurate work under high pressure, and prioritize workload in order to meet varying deadlines

• Excellent office computer skills

• Having a third language is an advantage.
