Job summary

Our client is an foreign-owned private company, who provides customised after sales service to electronics companies.

Job Responsibilities

This position is an individual contributor to support the company to set-up their business in Vietnam. The HR Officer will support with HR related activities including recruitment, training, performance appraisals, incentive programs and staff retention.


  • Maintain payroll records including filing; payments; salary packages; tax; deduction, superannuation and workers compensation;
  • Prepare and process all relevant payments to employees such as fortnightly and monthly pay; bonuses; deductions / additions and superannuation;
  • Prepare and process all legally required payments
  • Maintain HR procedures and policies;
  • Maintain and monitor headcount and provide reports to respective managers when required;
  • Provide training and personnel policies and procedures to staff and induction to new starters;
  • Provide support to the managers in relation to legal employment relations requirements;
  • Prepare and coordinate set-up of individual or collective contracts for employees if required;
  • Provide support for set-up of performance management and incentive targets programme for management and staff;
  • Ensure all relevant HR / Payroll issues are addressed in a timely manner;
  • Provide assistance to the Country Manager with pre-screening, recruitment of their respective team members and the company as whole;
  • Provide support to Quality Manager to ensure compliance with training requirements of employees;
  • Support the team leaders and Country assuring compliance of their team members and visitors to the production areas of their responsibility to comply with the company's ESD policy;

Experience requirements

  • Strong communication skill;
  • Strong analytical skills to identify strengths and weaknesses of HR / Payroll practices, policies and procedures and develop solutions as appropriate;
  • Strong attention to details;
  • Strong relationship and team-building mindset;
  • Excellent time-management skill;
  • Fluent in various software applications (e.g. MS Office - Word / Excel / Outlook / Powerpoint)

Education requirements

Formal Qualification in HR Management, and/or 3-5 years of experience in HR (electronics; manufacturing or service industry)
