R&D Senior Manager

Job summary

As a Research & Development (R&D) Director, you are typically responsible for ensuring that the organization continually produces a steady stream of new and modified products that satisfy changing customer needs and business requirements.

Job Responsibilities

Product Development

•         Leading the development of new beverage applications to support customers

·        Create new and innovative beverage products for beverage application; such as Dairy Beverages, Refreshing beverages, Juice based products, Energy Drinks, CSD or NCB with or without thermal process and preservation systems.

·        Develop products utilizing our Taste and Applied Health and Nutrition Ingredients and various technologies in application and assess its stability and suitability in meeting customer needs

Product Portfolio and Collection

•         Detailed understanding of the Taste portfolio relevant to the applications within the respective

·        Beverage EUM

•         Understands the collection library and able to propose collection to internal and external

·        customers

•         Provides input for the definition of Taste collection needs and gaps

Other tasks

·        Oversee the operation of innovation and development menu of products based on development trends of the market and company.

·        Plan, monitor, and control all activities of R&D team

·        Cooperate with the marketing team to investigate all new development relating to new trends, materials and food supplies.

·        Develop drink’s recipients for a new project as the market needed.

·        Organize testing session, develop guidance documents for the new product.

·        Participate and communicate with other Department (Training, QC...) on launching the program.

·        Support internal as well as an external customer in all matters related to the new product, resolve any concerns of recipes & product quality at the store.

·        Recommend to reduce cost and improve drink product’s quality.

Experience requirements

·        Bachelor’s degree or higher degree in relevant field.

·        At least 10 years of experience as a Research and Development Director in the F&B production or FMCG industry

·        Experience in creating and managing intellectual property and fostering an innovative culture

·        Strong at leadership, project management, problem-solving

·        Excellent interpersonal skills

·        Good command of English and computer

·        High level of organization and attention to detail;

·        Be familiar with the regulations regarding product and process certification and compliance, as well as various project management techniques (activities, materials, timings, human and financial resources.

·        Strong written and verbal English and Vietnamese communication skills.

·        Proven ability to influence, negotiate and build effective relationships with customers and internally across various departments.

·        Strong leadership and coaching skills with evidence of building, retaining, and motivating a high-performance team.

·        Able to travel within the Asia region.
