Senior Logistics Planner

Job Responsibilities

This position organizes and implements a variety of responsibilities related to the flow of materials, products, services and associated systems information. Duties involve but are not limited to supply chain services, inventory control, critical parts availability, material handling, import-export licensing, shipment of products, and third-party warehousing. Evaluates customer support and field service commitments to ensure customer requirements are met. Serves as liaison between sales and operations teams to develop concepts and coordinate product knowledge; provides data analysis for production planning and volume studies; and participates in process/rating improvement efforts. Assists in developing logistics plans and procedures.

Duties and responsibilities include but not limited to:

• Manage Import & export customs clearance.
• Manage 3PL warehouse operation.
• Manage depot repair center in-house warehouse shipping and receiving.
• Manage Oracle shipping & receiving transactions, WIP jobs.
• Inventory Analysis and control (Involves in inventory cycle count)
• Expedite and monitor daily shipment/Pull-in request.
• Responsible for processing critical part orders in a timely fashion, and accuracy of products shipped.

As the Senior Planner, Logistics, you will be responsible for the following:

• Manage Import & export customs clearance
  • Compliance with local import and export regulations in collaboration with the appointed country and Trade Compliance team
  • Design and improve processes in both importing & exporting.
  • Verify HTS code & tariff rate evaluation, types of Transaction, document preparation for import/export customs declaration.
  • Manages import duty/tax payment & Recovery.
  • Monthly Intercompany AR/AP reconciliation of all records to imports and exports.
  • Ensure authorized brokers and forwarders comply with defined policy.
  • Maintain shipping system with accurate freight rates and carriers.
• Depot repair center warehousing and Oracle WIP jobs
  • Manage shipping/receiving (delivery and return to/from customers) and Material Inbound & outbound through Oracle.
  • Daily cycle count in DR warehouse.
  • Create WIP JOB for refurbishment.
• Manage 3PL warehouse operation
  • Inventory Analysis and control (Involves in inventory cycle count)
  • Expedite and monitor daily shipment/Pull-in request.
  • Plan and schedule tasks for receiving storage and shipping of all goods
  • Measuring weekly on-time delivery performance for all domestics shipments
  • Create orders (In Oracle) for stock replenishment and reverse logistics
  • Responsible for processing critical part orders in a timely fashion, and accuracy of products shipped.
  • Resolve and report root cause for service problem receipts.
  • Participates in the periodic warehouse inventories and cycle counts by counting, verifying counts, and investigating discrepancies
• Urgent Support and others
  • Follow up urgent shipment request from TBU, Service, Depot team
  • Checking the inquiries from TBU, Finance, Service, Depot team about stock in DR
  • Provide proper solutions about specific requirements from other Dept and TBU
  • Continuously try to realize cost savings in distribution and warehousing
  • Develop key metrics for the service logistics business in Vietnam. 

Experience requirements

• Experience:
  • 5+ years of related working experience in manufacturing setting with relevant major of duties and responsibilities regarding warehousing, logistics, import-export, inbound, outbound etc.
  • Prior working experience in Lasers Manufacturing Industry is a plus
  • ERP experience - Oracle preferable.
  • Customs audit experience is plus.
  • Experience in semiconductor / Electronics industry preferred
• Skills
  • Strong knowledge of customs regulation and process including export control regulation, HTS code system, and tariff rate.
  • Strong analytical skills.   

Education requirements

• Bachelor’s Degree in one of following specialisation: Supply Chain Management, Foreign Trade, Economics, Business Administration, Relevant specialisation
