Senior Sourcing Specialist

Job summary

Our client, an international sourcing office, is looking for Senior Sourcing Specialist to join their dynamic sourcing team in Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam.

Job Responsibilities

• Sourcing for new suppliers / manufacturers within product category in Asia area.
• Priority the task on hand and can set up timeline and execute
• Deep dive on products and understand cost structure
• Mapping and ranking supplier in logic to support business decision , able to create and refresh supplier landscape
• Can lead the key communication related with business with suppliers and develop partner relationship with key vendors
• Be captain of project , lead and coordinate with SQE team, package, logistic department for key project development
• Source, evaluate, develop and grow suppliers/manufacturers relationship within product category.
• Identify business opportunity to drive cost competitiveness and margin improvement.
• Organize comparison sheets and additional supporting documentation to provide a comprehensive analysis on product specifications and cost to assist decision makers (Product Development Merchants).
• Assist in the arrangement of trip itineraries and the arrangement of accommodations including hotel booking and transportation.

Experience requirements

• Minimum of 5 years' experience in trading/buying office with the expertise in sourcing hardgoods categories, including hardware, electrical/lighting, kitchen and bath, and garden and outdoor. Familiarity with metal-made products is preferred.
• Calm and humble attitude. Active listening abilities, prioritizing analysis before making judgments, and avoiding assumptions.
• Strong presentation skill.
• Sales-driven mindset coupled with robust business acumen.
• Fluent in both verbal and written English, willing to travel regularly within Vietnam and Abroad (40% workload).

Education requirements

• Bachelor degree/MBA desirable, Business Management background.
