Job summary

A leading pharmaceutical company with a mission of bringing better health to people is looking for a Medical Manager to join them. The Medical Manager will be responsible for providing strategies for medical affairs within the Therapeutic Area of Oncology and new launching products.

Job Responsibilities

As an expert in Oncology and responsible for all medical-related activities for the Vietnam business, here's how you can fulfill the outlined responsibilities:

  • Co-design and develop the medical role for the business with the management team: Collaborate with the management team to understand the specific medical needs and requirements of the business in Vietnam. Develop a comprehensive medical role that aligns with the company's goals and objectives.
  • Oversight of all medical activities of Oncology in Vietnam: Provide strategic oversight of all medical activities related to Oncology in Vietnam. Ensure compliance with regulatory standards and alignment with global medical strategies.
  • Develop and oversee all local Medical Affairs activities in Oncology TA and subsequently execute those plans: Develop detailed medical affairs plans specifically tailored to the Oncology therapeutic area in Vietnam. Execute these plans efficiently to support the business objectives.
  • Represent the TA Medical Affairs to senior cross-functional leadership as well as external stakeholders: Act as the primary representative of the Oncology TA Medical Affairs to senior leadership within the organization and external stakeholders such as healthcare professionals, regulatory bodies, and industry associations.
  • Gain & report valuable insight into clinical patterns and scientific activities through KOL & stakeholder organizations interactions: Establish and maintain relationships with Key Opinion Leaders (KOLs) and stakeholder organizations to gather insights into clinical patterns, scientific developments, and market trends. Report these insights to relevant stakeholders for informed decision-making.
  • Responsible for creating and executing the Oncology TA Medical Plan, aligned with both the Brand Plan and the Regional Medical Plan: Develop a comprehensive Oncology TA Medical Plan that is aligned with the broader Brand Plan and Regional Medical Plan. Ensure synergy and integration across different plans for optimal outcomes.
  • Initiate and drive all Medical activities as defined in the acceleration plan: Take proactive steps to initiate and drive medical activities outlined in the acceleration plan. Monitor progress and adjust strategies as needed to meet objectives effectively.
  • Provide medical/scientific input into the Brand Plan and be a member of the cross-functional Brand Team: Collaborate with the cross-functional Brand Team to provide medical and scientific input into the development and execution of the Brand Plan. Ensure that medical strategies are integrated into overall brand strategies.
  • Organize and participate in Advisory Boards and Symposiums and coordinate conferences: Organize and participate in Advisory Boards, Symposiums, and conferences related to Oncology in Vietnam. Facilitate meaningful discussions and knowledge sharing among key stakeholders.
  • Develop medical strategies through effective collaboration with the MSL team and identify educational opportunities aligned with company's medical education strategies: Work closely with the Medical Science Liaison (MSL) team to develop and implement effective medical strategies. Identify educational opportunities that align with the company's medical education strategies and provide scientific support for continuous medical educations.

By fulfilling these responsibilities, you can contribute to the success of the Vietnam business in the field of Oncology and ensure the delivery of high-quality medical services and support to stakeholders.

Experience requirements

•        5-7 years of experience in driving and managing the medical strategy for various brands in the pharmaceutical industry

•        Excellent leadership, managerial, interpersonal, and relationship-building skills

•        Very strong scientific expertise, preferably in the therapeutic areas mentioned or in other specialty medicines

•        Verbal and written Business English fluency; fluency in other languages is a plus

•        Excellent presentation skills

Education requirements

•        Medical Doctor or Post-Graduate Degree in Pharmacy/ Life Sciences (Ph.D., Master)
