Automation Design Engineer

Job summary

Our client is a growing MNC in automated machinery and robot manufacturing looking for an Automation Design Engineer to join their team.

Job Responsibilities

• Communicate technical requirements, define specifications, and present solution concepts to customers.
• Lead product design to meet functionality, cost, and manufacturability requirements, aligning ME/EE/SW teams for optimal solutions.
• Prepare technical documents (BOM, MCC, schematics) and create presentations for demos, training, and customer interaction.
• Oversee prototype assembly, wiring, software installation, troubleshooting, and calibration; support FAT and testing instructions.
• Assist with onsite setup, validation, and customer buy-off for prototypes.
• Analyze performance data, gather feedback, and propose improvements to enhance quality, reliability, and reduce costs.

Experience requirements

• Over 3 years in automation / testing solutions for electronics or semiconductor industries.
• Proficient in control platforms (PLC, SCARA, motion control).
• Strong analytical, statistical, and leadership skills; proficient in SolidWorks and MS Office.
• Good English skills for negotiation, presentations, and customer/vendor interactions.

Education requirements

• Bachelor's in Mechatronics, Automation, Robotics or relevant field.
