Job summary

Adecco's client, a global leader in automotive safety systems, is looking for a Country IT Manager to join their team. 

Job Responsibilities

Leadership & Team Management:

  • Lead and manage the local IT team, ensuring high-performance service delivery and operational excellence.
  • Supervise day-to-day IT operations and ensure continuous professional development of team members.
  • Establish proactive communication with the business and other IT teams to foster a collaborative environment.

Strategic IT Management:

  • Develop and drive the local IT strategy, ensuring alignment with both local management strategies and global IT expectations.
  • Act as a key IT advisor to the local business leadership, contributing to business strategy discussions and identifying technology-driven growth opportunities.

Global & Regional Project Implementation:

  • Lead, collaborate on, or implement regional and global IT projects in Vietnam, ensuring they align with the company's overall IT goals.
  • Ensure the successful execution of digital transformation initiatives (e.g., Citizen Development, AI/ML, and data-driven organizational models).

Security, Governance, and Compliance:

  • Collaborate with global security teams to maintain awareness and monitor security risks, implementing measures to mitigate potential threats.
  • Ensure full compliance with both internal company policies and external industrial standards, including ISO, SOX, TISAX, ITGC, JAMA/JAPIA.
  • Implement and maintain IT governance frameworks, ensuring proper documentation and audit readiness.

Budgeting & Resource Management:

  • Manage the IT budget for the company, ensuring cost efficiency while delivering high-value IT services.
  • Monitor spending to align with corporate financial goals and IT strategy.

Business Alignment & Service Delivery:

  • Maintain strong relationships with local management, ensuring IT solutions align with and support business objectives.
  • Actively participate in business strategy development and work as "One Team" with the broader IT function to deliver integrated solutions.

Additional Responsibilities:

  • Execute any other duties assigned by the ASEAN IT Manager.
  • Be a strong advocate for regional/global security awareness and standards implementation.


Experience requirements

Experience:

  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in IT management roles, with a proven track record of leading IT teams and projects.
  • Experience in the automotive industry or a manufacturing environment would be an advantage.
  • Previous experience working on global teams or overseas assignments is a plus.
  • Experience working in or leading IT initiatives in international or cross-cultural environments is a strong advantage.

Technical Expertise:

  • Solid understanding in many of these key IT domains:
    • Network and infrastructure management
    • IT service delivery and support
    • Systems and application development
    • Security, governance, and compliance (SOX, ITGC, TISAX, etc.)
    • Digital transformation and innovation
    • Business strategy, budgeting, and planning
    • Project management methodologies (Agile, Waterfall, etc.)
  • A strong grasp of emerging technologies, including AI, ML, and data analytics, is preferred.

Skills:

  • Strong leadership and communication skills with the ability to influence at all levels of the organization.
  • Ability to align IT initiatives with business objectives and deliver measurable results.
  • Proficiency in English is mandatory.
  • Strong problem-solving skills with an ability to drive innovation and digital transformation.


Education requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in information technology, Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or a related field.
