Job summary
Our client, an US brand specializing in babies and children’s socks and accessories, is looking for Country Manager who will work closely with their current supplier base and onboard new suppliers, as required. He/she will be a key member of the Brand Operations leadership team.
Job Responsibilities
- Drive initiatives related to Vietnam sourcing strategy and production growth.
- Production/capacity planning, delivery and WIP maintenance –
- Product development and sampling
- Process optimization and local approvals – Approve all TOP samples locally
- Sourcing new raw materials and manufacturing partners.
- Product cost negotiations.
- Quality performance.
- Compliance
- Lead and motivate a diverse team managing merchandising, quality control, and sourcing in a fast-paced environment.
- Manage day-to-day operations in Vietnam.
- Problem solving, solution options and issue resolution.
- Build relationships with Vietnamese suppliers, factories, and stakeholders through top-to-top personal engagement.
- Expense management and budget adherence
Experience requirements
- Minimum 10 years' experience in a senior management role within baby socks, shoes and accessories industry, with a proven track record in Vietnam market.
- In-depth understanding of sourcing, production, quality control, and compliance in the relevant industry.
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and negotiation skills.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a focus on continuous improvement.
- Able to undertake frequent domestic travel within Vietnam for operational needs. Ability to travel to the USA and China, as required.
