Finance Controller

Job summary

Our client - an EU company specialized in livestock industry is looking for a Finance Director.

Job Responsibilities

• Financial accounting and reporting and familiar with ERP system.
• Develop and maintain timely and accurate financial statements and reports that are appropriate for the users and in accordance with generally accepted accounting principles.
• Develop, Implement, and ensure compliance with Internal financial, accounting policies and procedures and taxation.
• Ensure all compliance, statutory and contractual requirements of the organization are met including withholding payments, goods and services tax, local invoicing etc.
• Prepare all supporting information for the annual audit with the approved external auditor.
• Document and maintain complete and accurate supporting information for all financial transactions.
• Develop and maintain financial accounting systems for cash management, accounts payable, accounts receivable, credit control, and petty cash.
• Reconcile bank and investment accounts; and manage cash flow.
• Review monthly results and implement monthly variance reporting as compared to budget.
• Manage the bookkeeping function, including maintenance of the general ledger, accounts payable, and accounts receivable,
• Oversee office operations and responsible for board matters.
• Provide accurate and timely reporting on the financial activity of projects.
• Support on review and standardization of legal contracts.

Experience requirements

• Knowledge of accepted accounting and internal control principles.
• Strong analytical, problem solving and decision-making skills to evaluate alternatives and provide recommendations on business issues.
• Proactive, able to work Independently and able to adapt to a matrix reporting
• environment.
• Strong written and verbal English communication skills
• Proficiency in the use of computer programs such as Accounting Software, Enterprise
• Resource Management system and Microsoft Office.

Education requirements

• Bachelor's Degree in Accountancy or Finance or a professional qualification.
• Minimum 8 years relevant experience in a similar job preferably from the engineering, procurement and commissioning sector with international company exposure.
