Job Responsibilities

Job Description:

We are seeking an experienced IT Supervisor - ERP to oversee and manage the IT operations at our factory, with a primary focus on ERP system implementation, maintenance, and support. The ideal candidate will be responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of the ERP system, providing technical support, and improving system functionality to align with the factory’s operational needs. The IT Supervisor will also coordinate with other departments to ensure efficient use of the ERP system in supporting production and administrative processes.

1. ERP System Management

  • Oversee the daily operation, configuration, and maintenance of the factory's ERP system (e.g., SAP, Oracle, Microsoft Dynamics).
  • Ensure that all modules of the ERP system (production, inventory, finance, HR, etc.) are functioning correctly and meeting factory requirements.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve any ERP-related issues to minimize disruption to production and factory operations.
  • Work closely with vendors or third-party service providers to ensure the timely resolution of technical issues or system upgrades

2. ERP System Implementation and Optimization

  • Lead or support the implementation of new ERP modules or upgrades to existing systems in alignment with business goals.
  • Collaborate with department heads to assess ERP system needs and recommend process improvements or customization.
  • Ensure that all system upgrades, patches, and configurations are carried out efficiently and with minimal downtime.
  • Conduct system testing and quality assurance to ensure the ERP system’s reliability and performance.

3. User Support and Training

  • Provide technical support and troubleshooting for ERP system users across the factory, including production, inventory, finance, and HR teams.
  • Organize and deliver user training sessions on how to effectively use the ERP system, including new features or upgrades.
  • Create and maintain user manuals and technical documentation for ERP processes to ensure knowledge transfer.

4. Data Management and Security

  • Ensure the integrity, security, and accuracy of data within the ERP system by implementing data management best practices.
  • Monitor and maintain backup systems for ERP data to prevent data loss in case of system failure.
  • Manage user access controls, permissions, and security measures to protect sensitive factory data

5. Integration and Collaboration

  • Work with other IT team members to integrate the ERP system with other factory systems (e.g., MES, CRM, or PLM) for seamless information flow.
  • Collaborate with production and other departments to ensure that ERP functionalities support and enhance factory operations.
  • Ensure smooth integration between the ERP system and any external systems such as supplier or customer portals.

6. System Monitoring and Performance Reporting

  • Continuously monitor system performance, track system usage, and identify potential areas for improvement.
  • Generate and analyze reports on ERP performance metrics, including system uptime, user efficiency, and problem resolution times.
  • Provide regular reports to the IT Manager or senior management on ERP system health and performance.

7. IT Infrastructure Support

  • Assist in the management of factory IT infrastructure, including hardware, networking, and servers, to ensure the smooth operation of all systems.
  • Collaborate with the IT Manager to plan for infrastructure upgrades or expansions to support business growth.
  • Oversee the installation, configuration, and maintenance of computers, networks, and other hardware systems as required.

8. Compliance and Best Practices

  • Ensure compliance with local regulations and company policies in all ERP and IT related activities.
  • Stay up-to-date on industry best practices and emerging technologies, recommending updates or changes to improve ERP and IT performance.
  • Maintain system documentation, including configurations, troubleshooting guides, and compliance reports.

Experience requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in IT, with at least 2 years in a supervisory role and hands-on experience with ERP systems in a factory or manufacturing environment.
  • Strong knowledge of ERP systems such as SAP, Oracle, or Microsoft Dynamics.
  • Proficiency in database management (e.g., SQL) and system integration.
  • Understanding of IT infrastructure, including networking, servers, and hardware.
  • Ability to diagnose and resolve ERP-related issues efficiently to minimize downtime.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills to interact with various factory departments and users.
  • Strong project management and time-management skills to handle multiple tasks and prioritize effectively.
  • Good command of Vietnamese and English is required.
  • Ability to lead and mentor junior IT staff and coordinate with other departments.
