Legal Manager, Investment

Job summary

We are looking for a highly skilled Legal Manager to support our private-owned company's investment activities, focusing on investments in subsidiaries and real estate. This role is ideal for candidates with experience in boutique law firms serving clients in investment or those with a strong in-house background. The successful candidate will have a proven ability to navigate complex legal environments and foster relationships with key authorities.

Job Responsibilities

Key Responsibilities:

• Legal Advisory: Provide expert legal advice on investments in subsidiaries and real estate, ensuring compliance with all relevant laws and regulations.
• Investment Structuring: Assist in structuring and negotiating investment agreements, including joint ventures and partnerships.
• Regulatory Compliance: Monitor and ensure compliance with local and national regulations related to investments and corporate governance.
• Stakeholder Engagement: Cultivate and maintain strong relationships with government authorities, regulatory bodies, and other stakeholders to facilitate investment processes.
• Due Diligence: Conduct comprehensive legal due diligence on potential investment opportunities, identifying risks and advising on strategies for mitigation.
• Contract Management: Draft, review, and negotiate contracts and legal documents related to investment activities, safeguarding the company's interests.
• Policy Development: Develop and implement internal policies and procedures for investment management and legal compliance.
• Advisory Role: Act as a trusted advisor to senior management on legal matters impacting investment strategies and operations.

Experience requirements

Qualifications:

• Experience: 5-10 years of experience in a legal role, preferably in boutique law firms serving investment clients or in-house legal experience with private-owned companies.
• Expertise: Strong understanding of corporate law, investment regulations, and real estate law.
• Networking Skills: Proven ability to build relationships with authorities and industry stakeholders to facilitate investment processes.
• Analytical Skills: Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with meticulous attention to detail and a proactive approach to identifying legal issues.
• Communication: Strong verbal and written communication skills; ability to convey complex legal concepts to non-legal stakeholders effectively.
• Languages: Proficiency in English is required; knowledge of [local language] is a plus.

Education requirements

• Education: Bachelor’s degree in Law (LLB) or equivalent; a Master’s degree or relevant legal certifications are a plus.
