New Product Development Engineer/ Senior Engineer

Job summary

Our client, a well-known home appliances brand, is looking for New Product Development Engineer/ Senior Engineer.

Job Responsibilities

• Create and implement innovative design solutions and products within a dynamic team setting.
• Offer expertise in solid modeling and prototyping to support both technological advancements and the development of new products.
• Utilize established engineering principles to enhance concepts into dependable designs that fulfill performance, regulatory, integrity, and aesthetic criteria.
• Ensure manufacturability for both regional and global production contexts.
• Develop detailed part specifications, including comprehensive drawings and specifications.
• Effectively communicate design concepts to team members and manufacturing facilities.
• Conduct product prototyping and testing, managing test requests and obtaining quotes from various sources.
• Additionally, contribute to the ongoing enhancement of existing products through continuous improvement initiatives.

Experience requirements

• 6+ years of experience in product design and development, demonstrating expertise across the entire product development lifecycle.
• Proficiency in 3D CAD software, with extensive design experience spanning various processes including plastic injection molding, die-casting, sheet metal fabrication, machining, and assembly.
• Proficient in Creo and Solidworks.
• Proven ability to collaborate effectively in cross-functional team environments.
• Strong understanding of design processes, including DFMEA, FEA, and DFM.
• Excellent command of spoken and written English.
• Adaptability to work within flexible and adaptable teams and processes that accommodate change and uncertainty.
• Capable of supporting multiple projects simultaneously.
• Detail-oriented, versatile, organized, articulate, and professional.

Education requirements

• BS in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Robotics or Mechatronics.
