Job summary

Our client, an international buying office specializing in indoor furniture (upholstery), is looking for a Quality Control Manager.

Job Responsibilities

  • Manage AQL audits by providing direction on a daily basis to company Quality Auditors in conducting AQL audit procedures consistent with company standards.
  • Manage color / finish approval processes; provide training and color testing to the supplier and auditors.
  • Arrange and determine company auditor’s permanent working base and flexible rotation schedule.
  • Prioritize and conduct weekly supplier factory audits of production and quality systems in compliance with company AQL audit procedure.
  • Conduct 8D Corrective Action Process with suppliers to ensure accurate root cause analysis and corrective action implementation.
  • Review and analyze company AQL audit reports and provide direction for reduced, normal, and tightened inspection requirements.
  • Coordinate and communicate with internal stakeholders (Quality, Sourcing, Merchandising) as necessary on supplier quality issues and New Product Launch activities.

Experience requirements

  • Have 10+ years of relevant experience in Quality Assurance processes for the following categories: fabric, leather, upholstered furniture, furniture components.
  • Excellent in AQL process management - managing quality for sourced product - strategic point of view.
  • Excellent in factory Social compliance - constantly monitored - product safety.
  • Fluent in English and Vietnamese communication and written skills.
  • Working knowledge of standard quality management concepts: APQP, Control Plans, SPC, FEMA, DFEMA, 8D Corrective Action, Color Management, Lean Manufacturing Systems; technical training in some / all of these concepts preferred.
  • Strong communication skills including verbal & written, presentation, negotiation & conflict resolution.

Education requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Quality Management, Supply Chain, Business Management or equivalent.
