Adecco's client - A national dairy company is seeking for talented Senior R&D Specialist to join their team in Ho Chi Minh.

Job Responsibilities

The Senior R&D Specialist will lead the research and development of new dairy products, from concept through to commercialization. This role involves a mix of scientific research, project management, and hands-on formulation, aiming to enhance product quality, improve processes, and introduce innovative solutions. The successful candidate will work closely with cross-functional teams including Quality, Production, Marketing, and Regulatory to ensure that products meet both company standards and market requirements.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Product Development:
    • Lead formulation and process development for new dairy products and improvements to existing products.
    • Conduct experiments and trials to optimize ingredients, texture, taste, and shelf life.
    • Ensure product consistency and quality through standardized testing methods.
  • Innovation & Research:
    • Research market trends, consumer preferences, and new ingredients to innovate and enhance the product portfolio.
    • Identify and test emerging technologies or ingredients that align with company objectives and sustainability goals.
  • Project Management:
    • Plan, execute, and oversee R&D projects, ensuring alignment with timelines, budgets, and regulatory requirements.
    • Collaborate with Production, Quality, and Supply Chain teams to scale lab formulations to production-ready levels.
  • Quality & Compliance:
    • Ensure all products meet internal quality standards and external regulatory compliance for food safety and labeling.
    • Work with Quality Assurance and Regulatory Affairs to document formulation specifications, process standards, and quality control parameters.
  • Cross-functional Collaboration:
    • Support Marketing with technical insights and product information for promotional materials and packaging.
    • Collaborate with Procurement to source ingredients that meet technical requirements and sustainability standards.


Experience requirements

  • Minimum 5 years of experience in R&D within the dairy or food industry, with a strong background in product formulation and process optimization.
  • Proven expertise in dairy product development, including knowledge of key ingredients and processing methods.
  • Experience with sensory evaluation and knowledge of shelf-life assessment techniques.
  • Strong project management skills with a track record of delivering projects on time and within budget.
  • Familiarity with food safety regulations and standards (e.g., FSSC, HACCP, ISO).

Education requirements

Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Food Science, Dairy Technology, Food Engineering, or a related field.
