Job summary

Our client, a global leader in home improvement products, is looking for a Senior Supplier Quality Specialist to manage and improve production plan and capacity of their manufacturing partners in Vietnam.

Job Responsibilities

  • Deploy Advanced Product Quality Planning activities to determine appropriate use of process controls with suppliers during pilot and mass production.
  • Facilitate and promote use of Six Sigma, Lean, and statistical tools and DMAIC methodology for quality improvement project.
  • Work with suppliers to establish a structured approach for consistency and adherence to quality procedures and requirements.
  • Develop Failure Mode and Effects Analysis (FMEA), Control plans, Measurement system analysis.
  • Develop / validate test and inspection plans designed to assure quality of factories and products based on a review of all applicable safety standards (such as American National Standards Institute or Underwriters Laboratories), industry trends, and historical performance data.
  • Resolve quality issues by identifying problems, examining solution options, implementing action plans, and providing resources including issues of capability, tolerancing, and materials/handling related issues.

Experience requirements

  • At least 5 working experience in supplier quality engineer/quality engineer/quality assurance role in electrical/electronics/mechanical manufacturing companies
  • Strong understanding and experience in quality management standards/tools, e.g. ISO, FMEA, 8D, AQL, APQP,...
  • Must have experience in continuous improvement program development and execution basics (Six Sigma or Lean)
  • Having good experience in NPI project management is preferred
  • Good communication skills – Vietnamese and English communication and writing skills. Mandarin is plus
