Job summary

Job Responsibilities

• Factory sourcing for new footwear constructions in SEA region, negotiate with potential vendors / suppliers for best price, sample development, product offer and service
• Material and trim sourcing
• Work closely with the merchandising and technical teams to ensure products meet buyer’s requirements and deliver on time
• Price negotiation and understanding of the price breakdowns when developing
• Trend research with a good understanding and interpretation for European customers
• Provide a liaison link between Vietnam suppliers & HQ merchandising teams
• Work in collaboration with UK buying, Sales and Design teams to understand the needs of customer and Range requirements. Use this information to deliver best products and ensure they are fit for purpose and cost parameters are achieved

Experience requirements

• 7+ years’ experience in footwear area with expertise in product development and merchandising
• Strong background in footwear for UK/EU market
• Strong understanding of footwear constructions from sports/ fashion/ casual to formal and price breakdowns when developing. Familiar with leather/ PU footwear
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with all levels of people including European buyers and factories in Vietnam and Cambodia
