Job summary

Our client, an US trading office, is looking for a Mechanical Engineer experienced in home goods / hardgoods / plastic injection/ metal parts such as housewares, kitchenware, baby/juvenile, fitness, electronics, but not limited to.

Job Responsibilities

• Analyze customer’s/internal requirements and transfer them to technical solutions
• Research and develop new technology according to company new product strategy
• Support merchandiser as main interface to the customer in all technical related issues
• Work on and assist with the development and improvement of existing mechanical products
• Work directly with clients on all their mechanical sourcing requirements.
• Providing technical feedback to both our engineers and our customers engineers, quality control departments and suppliers about test results, product/ component reliability & improvement as well as make professional suggestions for feasible cost down/ product improvement measures.

Experience requirements

• Min 3 years experience in successful product development from start to finish
• Experienced in Home appliance/Domestic appliance/Personal care product (mechanical + electronic product)/Kitchen appliance/Printer/Computer/note book is preferred.
• Expert in Solidworks or Pro-E
• Experienced in CAD, Photoshop, Illustrator, etc.
• Can perform material cost calculations, product cost estimates
• Proficient in English (especially written)
