General Responsibilities

  • Client Relationship Development:
    • Facilitate the creation and strengthening of relationships with key accounts in the personal care and home care industries.
    • Engage with clients to identify their requirements and offer customized solutions.
  • Expanding Business Opportunities:
    • Discover and pursue growth opportunities within current customer accounts and untapped markets.
    • Devise plans to attract prospective clients and broaden the company's market presence.
  • Onboarding New Customers:
    • Investigate and target potential clients to establish new business relationships.
    • Qualify leads and convert them into long-term accounts.
  • Sales Facilitation:
    • Collaborate with the Business Line Manager to execute strategies that meet revenue objectives.
    • Assist in creating proposals, preparing presentations, and demonstrating products to clients.
  • Industry Insights and Analysis:
    • Carry out market research to uncover trends, new opportunities, and competitor activities.
    • Evaluate market data and customer insights to suggest product enhancements and innovative offerings.
  • Team Collaboration:
    • Partner with marketing, product development, and logistics teams to ensure seamless delivery and customer satisfaction.
    • Liaise with customers, clients, and operations teams to maintain inventory and ensure product availability.
  • Activity Documentation and Reporting:
    • Keep detailed records of customer interactions, sales processes, and pipeline progression.
    • Generate comprehensive reports on sales performance, market insights, and customer feedback for leadership review.
  • Adherence to Policies and Standards:
    • Ensure alignment with company policies, regulatory requirements, and quality benchmarks in chemical distribution.
    • Handle additional responsibilities as assigned by supervisors.

Experience requirements

  • Demonstrated expertise in business development and acquiring new customers is essential.
  • In-depth understanding of the personal care and home care sectors is highly advantageous.
  • Exceptional analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • Strong communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
  • Capable of working both independently and as part of a team in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.
  • Over 3 years of experience in sales or account management, ideally within the chemical distribution industry.

Education requirements

  • Bachelor of Business, Chemistry, or a related discipline.
