Job summary

Job Responsibilities

Production Planning:

  • Develop and maintain production schedules based on sales forecasts, customer orders, and inventory levels.
  • Coordinate with production teams to ensure adherence to schedules and timely completion of manufacturing targets.
  • Monitor production progress and adjust schedules to address delays or changes in priorities.

Inventory Management:

  • Maintain optimal inventory levels to balance production requirements and cost efficiency.
  • Conduct regular stock checks to verify accuracy and ensure sufficient material availability.
  • Monitor usage rates of raw materials and finished goods to forecast future inventory needs.

Data Analysis and Reporting:

  • Analyze data on inventory turnover, stock discrepancies, and production efficiency to identify improvement areas.
  • Prepare regular inventory and planning performance reports for management.

Supplier Coordination:

  • Collaborate with procurement teams to ensure timely delivery of raw materials.
  • Monitor supplier performance to ensure consistency in meeting production requirements.

Process Improvement:

  • Identify and implement strategies to improve planning and inventory control processes.
  • Support the adoption of tools and technologies to enhance efficiency and reduce waste.

Compliance and Documentation:

  • Ensure accurate documentation of inventory transactions and production schedules.
  • Maintain compliance with company policies and industry standards.


Experience requirements

  • 5 years of experience in production planning and inventory management, preferably in a manufacturing environment.
  • Proficiency in ERP systems and inventory management software.
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret data and make data-driven decisions.
  • Excellent organizational and multitasking abilities.
  • Effective communication and collaboration skills.
  • Knowledge of lean manufacturing principles and inventory optimization techniques is a plus.

Education requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, Logistics, or a related field.
