Job Responsibilities

As the Area Sales Manager (ASM), you will be responsible for the following:

  • Develop and execute the sales strategy for the assigned territory in alignment with national objectives.
  • Manage and grow relationships with distributors, wholesalers, and key retail accounts.
  • Monitor and ensure sales targets are met through effective team and channel management.
  • Analyze market trends, competitor activity, and customer insights to identify opportunities for growth.
  • Lead, coach, and motivate a team of Sales Representatives to drive performance.
  • Collaborate with Trade Marketing and Product teams to roll out in-store programs and promotions.
  • Ensure high levels of customer satisfaction and resolve escalated issues effectively.
  • Monitor inventory levels, order forecasts, and distribution performance.

Experience requirements

  • Minimum 3-5 years of experience in sales management within the FMCG sector, preferably in food ingredients, baking, or related categories.
  • Proven ability to lead teams and manage distributor networks.
  • Strong negotiation, analytical, and communication skills.
  • Results-oriented mindset with the ability to work under pressure and adapt to a dynamic market.

Education requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Sales & Marketing, or related fields.
