Job Responsibilities
As the Area Sales Manager (ASM), you will be responsible for the following:
- Develop and execute the sales strategy for the assigned territory in alignment with national objectives.
- Manage and grow relationships with distributors, wholesalers, and key retail accounts.
- Monitor and ensure sales targets are met through effective team and channel management.
- Analyze market trends, competitor activity, and customer insights to identify opportunities for growth.
- Lead, coach, and motivate a team of Sales Representatives to drive performance.
- Collaborate with Trade Marketing and Product teams to roll out in-store programs and promotions.
- Ensure high levels of customer satisfaction and resolve escalated issues effectively.
- Monitor inventory levels, order forecasts, and distribution performance.
Experience requirements
- Minimum 3-5 years of experience in sales management within the FMCG sector, preferably in food ingredients, baking, or related categories.
- Proven ability to lead teams and manage distributor networks.
- Strong negotiation, analytical, and communication skills.
- Results-oriented mindset with the ability to work under pressure and adapt to a dynamic market.
Education requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Sales & Marketing, or related fields.
