Job Responsibilities

• Take the lead in establishing and optimizing accounting procedures for operations in Vietnam, including the setup of a new manufacturing facility.
• Oversee cost accounting activities such as production cost calculation, vendor payment forecasting, and maintaining accurate inventory records.
• Develop and manage cash flow plans to meet production demands and ensure timely vendor payments.
• Supervise inventory accounting and monitor cost of goods sold (COGS) closely.
• Evaluate the cost implications of changes in product design, raw materials, and manufacturing processes.
• Manage tax compliance, with a focus on VAT reporting and ensuring proper documentation for tax filings.
• Support financial reporting, budgeting, and forecasting efforts across the business.
• Deliver insights and strategic recommendations based on financial data and performance indicators.
• Administer payroll processes and ensure adherence to local labor laws and HR-related financial requirements.
• Maintain up-to-date corporate administrative and financial records.
• Collaborate with global teams to ensure financial operations are aligned, accurate, and completed on schedule.

Experience requirements

• 5 to 10 years of hands-on experience in manufacturing and cost accounting roles
• Demonstrated experience in working with global teams and handling cross-border accounting operations
• Solid understanding of VAT reporting processes, payroll systems, and local labor regulations
• Highly organized with strong attention to detail and a commitment to accuracy
• Proven success in streamlining processes, improving efficiency, and resolving operational challenges
• Strong analytical abilities with a talent for identifying inconsistencies and delivering practical, data-driven solutions
• Clear and confident communicator, capable of simplifying complex financial data for diverse audiences
• Comfortable navigating dynamic, fast-paced environments and adjusting to shifting priorities
• Proactive, resourceful, and skilled in critical thinking and adapting to change
• Advanced skills in Microsoft Excel and Google Sheets

Education requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a closely related field
• Excellent command of English
