Job summary

An excellent Assistant Quality Manager job based in HCMC has just arisen at one of the world's leading retail companies.

Job Responsibilities

  • Manage process and technical consistence with regional office to ensure delivery of compliant and quality product within defined timeline
  • Supervisor and support team in new product development including Toys, Art/Stationery, Seasonal, Home and Kitchen, Outdoor products and Electrical and Consumer Electronics. Key activities include product and inspection requirement setup, sample and packaging approval, pre-production meeting, etc
  • Ensure products are evaluated, tested and approved (sealed) in accordance Australian or European quality standard and mandatory requirements.
  • Ensure that full factory audit and approval on potential suppliers is carried out in accordance with company policy with corrective action plan in place.
  • Ensure that all relevant inspection criteria (checklist, specification, QA report etc) and sealed samples are made available to the QC inspectors prior to production and inspection.
  • Facilitate Quality consistency by driving good PP meeting and In-line inspection practice to prevent final inspection failures.
  • Follow the CAPA and ensure product quality improved in production.
  • Drive early Quality problem prevention using Industrial Engineering principles and standard.
  • Ensure customer compliant and supplier issues are managed and resolved with the suppliers.
  • Review customer feedback and data, drive product improvement and shrinkage reduction.
  • Manage budget and expense to ensure efficiency operation.

Experience requirements

  • At least 7 years’ QA working experience in hardgoods, Supervision experience in quality team of buying office is preferable.
  • Familiar with Australian or European technical standard requirements. 
  • Experience in accredited laboratory testing is an advantage
  • Good communication skills both in English. Communication with Mandarin is an advantage
  • Strong integrity and professional ethics.
  • Knowledge in ISO 9000 and factory audit experience is an advantage.
  • Self-discipline, good team player, self-motivated.
  • Frequent business travel is required.
