Automation Design Engineer

Job summary

We are seeking a skilled and innovative engineer to take on the role of Automation Design Engineer.

Job Responsibilities

• Develop precise 3D models and technical drawings from design concepts or rough sketches, ensuring full component breakdowns while balancing cost efficiency.
• Participate in initial equipment builds and mock-ups, ensuring alignment with specifications; adjust designs as needed and address technical challenges with practical solutions.
• Coordinate project execution, including scheduling and follow-up for both in-house production and external purchases for new automation systems.
• Perform robotic simulations using specialized software when applicable.
• Engage regularly with cross-functional teams including Product Development, Assembly, Software, and Quality to exchange insights and enhance processes.
• Contribute to special engineering initiatives such as testing, process improvement, and standardization of components and systems.
• Maintain up-to-date knowledge of engineering trends and tools; share insights and provide training on updated software or manufacturing practices.

Experience requirements

• University degree in Automation, Electrical, Mechanical Design, or a related field.
• Minimum of 5 years’ experience in automation design or a similar engineering role.
• High proficiency in 3D modeling tools (e.g., SolidWorks, AutoCAD).
• Familiarity with electrical 3D design software.
• Capability to obtain an internal driving or operating permit (PIV) within the first month of employment, if not already held.
• Proficient English communication skills.
• Solid understanding of PLC programming and automation principles.
