Job summary

Our client, an investment management firm is hiring a potential candidate for the Business Support or Operations and Trading Support

Job Responsibilities

• Assist trader by: o Checking all new, revised or cancelled staged order;
• Confirming borrow and rate ahead of Trader going short;
• Booking Pay-To-Hold is booked correctly in order & execution management system (OEMS);
• Compiling positions by prime broker and counterparty to review portfolio composition;
• Corresponding and resolving trade (pre-settlement) breaks with brokers;
• Keeping trader updated on upcoming corporate action or market events;
• Ensuring OEMS is up to date for exchange fees, bank holidays, commission and fee rules.
• Work in OEMS to: o Ensure new releases are learned and provide training to team;
• Maintain & clean trade data; o Manage projects with OEMS vendor and outsourced trader;
• Automate current processes internally via macros, VBA or another approved format.
• Compile risk report alerts based on instructions from risk team.
• Check failed trades reported by Prime Brokers (“PB”) and action based on priority.
• Assist with equity and swap trade affirmations process with Fund Administrator (“MSFS”).
• Assist in the review and confirm all non-equity and OTC trades.
• Assist in compiling & reviewing various daily files for P&L and trades.
• Reconcile PB cash, positions, stock borrow (shapes, rates, cash).
• Review MSFS cash and position records with PBs and OMS & PMS.

Experience requirements

• 2-5 years’ experience with operations or trade support role at a bank or asset manager who trades public securities
• Advanced English (minimum: IELTS 6.5 / TOEIC 945 / TOEFL iBT 90, or equivalent)

Education requirements

• Bachelor of Finance or Accounting (or the equivalent) is preferred but not required.
• Experience with a finance OMS (order management system) & PMS (portfolio management system) is preferred (such as Broadridge, Eze, Enfusion, etc.) but not required.
• Excel proficiency and VBA for Excel and/or Python are preferred but not required
