Chief Accountant (Short-term)

Job summary

Our client, a refinery and petrochemical plant, is looking for a Chief Accountant (Short-term 5 months) to join their team

Job Responsibilities

• Sign financial statements following the requirement of Law on accounting and related guidance and the company's project documents
• Sign compliance certificates, related party certificates in compliance with the Company's Finance documents
• Appear in the role of the Chief Accountant cases required by Vietnamese laws/regulations
• and Sign accounting real accounting-relatedongoing documents which Law requires on accounting and related guidance as assigned by Management under POA.
• Sign Tax inspection minutes, results, conclusion and related documents as required during the on-going tax inspection by Tax department
• Manage and oversight the operation of accounting activities in company;
• Ensure all accounting works being managed properly in compliance with JVA/JVC, CTA with lenders (IFRS), international financial reporting standards (IFRS), Vietnamese accounting standards (VAS) & related laws and regulations.
• Cooperate with other divisions to ensure the accuracy and smooth operation of accounting works;
• Ensure the accuracy and timeliness of accounting reports.
• Provide necessary accounting information for Management's decision-making.
• Liaise with accounting advisors, internal / external auditors, sponsors, lenders, local authorities in relation to financial accounting matters.
• Manage all tax activities including but not limited to submit tax declaration, refund, exemption, finalization; deal with issues on taxation in consideration of company's benefit.
• Provide accounting assessment and recommendation to company activities via the proper management of cross-function activities (i.e.: PRS/bidding/contract review) Perform other tasks as assigned by Management.

Experience requirements

• Minimum 10 years of experience in accounting and tax works for multinational company with more than 5 years experiences in manager position, including experience for accounting work in Vietnam of at least 1 year as required by Vietnamese regulation.
• Chief Accountant which is prescribed by the Vietnamese Finance Ministry.
• Management skill of overall accounting and taxation works in international joint venture project in compliance with IFRS and VAS.
• Knowledge about asset management
• Management skill in negotiation with Ministries and Authorities in terms of accounting and tax regulation.
• English skills IELTS 7.0 or higher
