Job summary

Our client, an international company focused on athletic and sporting lifestyle products, is looking for Costing Manager for Labor & Overhead Analytics. This role will be responsible for leading corporate’s strategic costing work, building fact-based analytics work of overhead, labor, etc., on the operations side to optimize costs

Job Responsibilities

  • Oversee forecasts and trends analysis in operating overhead costs and other related areas
  • Support finance, strategic costing, production, etc., to build labor and overhead rate matrix/standards to better capture cost optimization value
  • Evaluate leading indicators of labor and overhead rates, and suggest on available production capacity/adjustments to meet product demands and cost targets
  • Consolidate and streamline all company’s /region’s data needs, increase efficiency by reducing manual and redundant process, and improve quality by eliminating potential manual errors and source control
  • Lead analyses and research in areas of labor and overhead to support costing strategies, financial projections, cost of service analysis, labor rate comparisons and benchmarking, etc
  • Support seasonal price negotiations using structured price performance and should-cost analysis

Experience requirements

  • 7+ years of relevant experience in costing, and analytics with specialty in labor/human cost
  • Knowledge of footwear construction, manufacturing, costing, and global business management;
  • Understanding of labor rate buildup (e.g., direct and indirect labor rate, overhead rates, fringe and G&A)
  • Language: Must be highly proficient in English & Vietnamese

Education requirements

  • Bachelor’s/master’s degree in Economics, Mathematics, Business Management, or in a related field
