Job Responsibilities
1. Customs Operations
- Supervise customs declaration for both import and export shipments through VNACCS/VCIS system.
- Review and verify shipping documents: invoice, packing list, bill of lading, contracts, C/O, etc.
- Coordinate closely with customs officers, forwarders, and warehouse teams to ensure timely clearance.
2. Compliance & Risk Control
- Ensure full compliance with Vietnam Customs laws and international trade agreements (FTA, EVFTA, CPTPP, etc.).
- Review and validate HS codes, duty rates, and tax applications.
- Handle customs audits, post-clearance inspections, and other regulatory matters.
3. Documentation & Process Management
- Develop and maintain SOPs for customs procedures.
- Organize and store customs documentation for internal audit and external inspections.
- Support internal or brand audits related to trade compliance and traceability.
4. Team Management & Coordination
- Supervise and coach a team of customs or import/export staff.
- Coordinate with planning, production, sourcing, and finance departments to align on shipping schedules and priorities.
5. Reporting
- Provide regular reports on customs clearance status, tax optimization, and lead time KPIs.
- Propose process improvements to reduce clearance time and avoid unnecessary costs.
Experience requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in international Trade, Logistics, Supply Chain or related fields.
- Minimum 4–6 years in customs affairs or import-export, preferably in garment, textile, or footwear industries. At least 1–2 years in a supervisory role.
- Strong understanding of customs law, HS codes, FTA regulations, and C/O issuance.
- Good communication, problem-solving, leadership, and coordination skills. Detail-oriented and organized.
- Good command of English (written and verbal) for working with foreign clients and documentation.
- Proficiency in VNACCS/VCIS, ECUS, and Microsoft Office. ERP system experience is a plus.
