Customs Specialist

Job summary

Adecco's client is a large and well-known company in Automotive manufacturing field.

Job Responsibilities

1. Represent the company to directly work with customs authorities to complete import and export procedures.
2. Determine the correct classification codes (HS codes) for goods based on the tax system, helping the company and customs authorities efficiently manage and track goods.
3. Handle electronic customs declarations and transmissions.
4. Pay taxes to customs and ensure all necessary documents for customs clearance are complete.
5. Conduct detailed and accurate customs declarations, including information on goods leaving and entering the warehouse, value, quantity, and packaging. This data serves as the basis for customs inspection and management of imports and exports.
6. Review and verify product codes to ensure the correct goods comply with regulations and legal requirements.
7. Regularly update knowledge of new laws and regulations in the import-export field.
8. Monitor the transportation process from warehouse release to successful delivery of goods.
9. Provide advice and answers to the company regarding documents, customs procedures, transportation methods, and other issues related to import-export processes.
10. Prepare invoices, import/export documents, certificates of origin, etc., and manage them properly.
11. Anticipate potential risks in the work process and provide timely solutions.
12. Cooperate with relevant departments to complete the fast-track customs clearance process.

Experience requirements

Work Experience: 3-5 years or more

Logistics Management Knowledge: Proficient

Customs Clearance Knowledge: Proficient

Work Process Knowledge: Proficient

Statistical Knowledge: Proficient

Regulations and Policies Knowledge: Proficient

Language: Chinese or English

Education requirements

Education: College degree or higher

Major: Import-export clearance
