Our client is a UK manufacturing company specialized in garment, textile.
Job Responsibilities
Demand Planning:
- Develop, implement, and refine demand forecasting models to accurately predict future customer demand.
- Monitor and assess forecast accuracy and make adjustments to strategies as needed.
- Collaborate with key departments (sales, marketing, finance, and supply chain) locally and globally to align forecasts with business goals.
- Ensure alignment between demand forecasts and supply chain capabilities (e.g., inventory, production schedules).
- Work closely with sales teams to incorporate promotions, new product launches, and seasonal variations into demand forecasts.
- Monitor inventory levels to ensure that stock is available to meet demand while minimizing excess inventory.
- Develop strategies for improving stock turnover and reducing stockouts or overstocks.
- Generate and present reports on demand forecast accuracy, inventory levels, and any potential issues to upper management.
- Analyse trends and customer behavior to anticipate future demand shifts and adjust forecasts accordingly.
- Identify opportunities to improve the demand planning process, ensuring it is efficient, data-driven, and responsive to market changes.
- Introduce and implement new tools, systems, or methodologies to improve forecasting accuracy and efficiency.
- Proactively address discrepancies between forecasted demand and actual sales, working with relevant departments to find solutions.
- Resolve issues related to demand-supply imbalances, such as stockouts or excess inventory
Procurement:
- Work closely with our partner to generate the purchase plan base on the forecast and actual order.
- Coordinate with local Procurement to monitor purchase activities of material for FR fabric and FR garment.
- Ensure that all procurement activities are compliant with legal and regulatory requirements.
- Look for opportunities to reduce procurement costs while maintaining quality and reliability.
- Maintaining relationships with vendors and suppliers.
Administration:
- Assist the sales team with administrative tasks, contracts, presentations and assigned tasks.
- Monitor the status of FR fabric and Garment orders, ensuring that they meet customer expectations in terms of delivery time and product quality.
- Track and update sales forecasts and assist in preparing sales presentations for internal meetings or client reviews.
- Collaborate with the logistics and warehouse teams to ensure smooth order delivery.
- Work closely with our partner to monitor overall activities to ensure smooth operation and commitment for delivery to achieve sales targets.
- Ability to address issues that may arise during the sales process, such as customer concerns or logistical challenges, and provide quick, effective solutions.
- Ability to work well in a team-oriented environment, collaborating with various departments (sales, marketing, operations, etc.).
Experience requirements
- Education: A bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management
- At least 5 years experience in Garment and textile industries as Demand planning, supply chain management
- Understanding of Industry garment trends (safety standards)
- Experience negotiating with internal departments and suppliers
- Proven ability to collaborate effectively at all levels within the organization
- Excellent communication skills
- Excellent presentation skills
- Growth mindset, proactive, teamwork, “can do” attitude
- Fluent in English
- Well organized
- Self-motivated
