Job summary

An excellent Energy Attribute Project Officer job based in Hanoi has just arisen at one of the world's leading renewable Energy companies.

Job Responsibilities

  • Manage and oversee the company’s EAC program for its customers, including also tracking and reporting on EAC purchases and sales.
  • Ensure compliance with relevant regulations and standards, such as but not limited to, I-REC Standard.
  • Work with internal and external stakeholders to promote the company customers’ renewable energy goals and EAC programs.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with EAC market participants, including brokers and other intermediaries.
  • Monitor and analyse EAC market trends and prices and provide regular updates and recommendations to senior management.
  • Collaborate with other departments within the company, such as the Business Development department for commercial activity, O&M, and Accounting for project registration to ensure alignment with overall goals and strategies.
  • Manage the organization’s EAC portfolio, including identifying and evaluating new EAC opportunities.
  • Develop and implement strategies to minimize EAC transaction costs and maximize revenue.
  • Manage the EAC certification process, including working with third-party certification bodies (e.g., GCC in Vietnam) and maintaining accurate records.
  • Prepare and present reports on EAC programs and activities to senior management and other stakeholders.


Experience requirements

  • 3 years of experience in energy attribute certificate management, renewable energy procurement, or a related field


Education requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field, such as business, sustainability, or energy management.

Skills

  • Strong understanding of energy markets, renewable energy technologies, and environmental regulations.
  • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to communicate effectively with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Strong analytical skills, with the ability to analyse market trends and data to inform decision-making.
  • Attention to detail.
  • Work collaboratively with cross-functional teams.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office
  • Trading experience would be an advantage.
  • Knowledge of relevant industry standards and certifications, such as the International Renewable Energy Certificate Standard.
  • Strong organizational and time-management skills, with the ability to prioritize and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Ability to work independently and proactively, with a strong sense of initiative and problem-solving skills.
  • Technical curiosity, proactivity, and autonomy.
  • Fluent in Vietnamese and English
