Field Service Engineer-Filling and Packaging technology

Job summary

Our client, a big player in Filling and Packaging machinery industry, is now looking for a Field Service Engineer to expand their business in the South Vietnam

Job Responsibilities

•                Set up and commission individual machines of product portfolio depending on the technical specialization of the technician (e.g. filling technology) under the guidance of an experienced service technician at the beginning and later independently

•                Perform troubleshooting on the range of individual machines and also partner companies with their supplied equipment

•                Provide technical training to machine operators at the customer’s site

•                Provide technical support to customers

•                Actively assist when it comes to design changes/improvements in collaboration with the designer

•                Support the improvement of quality to companywide quality standards

•                Work independently and autonomously on a task and within the working environment

•                Identify and rectify disorders, if necessary with support

•                Actively participate in problem solving to analyze the cause of disorders. Be able to issue disorder reports

•                Encourage measures regarding process/procedure optimization; to advise and implement to develop and optimize work stages

•                Supervise Krones equipment and partner equipment installation according company standards

•                Inspect machines for overhaul and spare parts

•                Execute machine overhauls and re-setup machines after completion

•                Promote machine upgrade option to customers

•                Support sales department in their activities

•                Take over any further task within service department requested by head of department 

Experience requirements

•                Solid technical understanding of food and beverage industry is preferred

•                Experience in field service preferred

•                Profound understanding of mechanical drawings and part lists

•                Profound knowledge in Siemens control systems (S7/TIA)

•                Profound knowledge in drive technologies (e.g Danfoss, B&R,…)

•                Profound knowledge in bus and network systems and pneumatics

•                Basic understanding of fluid technology and knowledge in pneumatics

•                Willingness to travel extensively in Vietnam and also abroad

•                Good English language skills for internal communication

Education requirements

•                Bachelor or higher in technical field (mechanical, mechatronics, automation, or similar)
