Job summary
We are seeking a skilled and innovative engineer to take on the role of Furniture Designer (Indoor).
Job Responsibilities
- Develop mood boards, concept sketches, and design presentations for internal and client reviews.
- Research market trends, materials, consumer preferences, and competitor products to guide design direction.
- Support the creation and execution of product lines in alignment with merchandising strategies.
- Assist in defining product specifications to ensure optimal balance of form, function, and manufacturability.
- Work with R&D Engineering to validate design feasibility, materials, and construction methods.
- Coordinate with the Merchandising team to support product positioning, pricing strategy, and category planning.
- Collaborate with Sourcing to evaluate raw materials and finishing options.
- Partner with the Sample Development team to support prototyping and design execution.
- Provide input in design and product review meetings, contributing creative and technical insights.
Experience requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Industrial Design, Product Design, or related field.
- 1–2 years of experience in furniture design or merchandising preferred (fresh graduates with strong portfolios are welcome and will receive full training).
- Solid understanding of furniture production methods and material applications.
- Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite, basic CAD software, and Microsoft Office.
- Strong foundation in design principles, color theory, and trend analysis.
- Strong presentation, visual communication, and organizational skills.
- Collaborative mindset with adaptability and attention to detail.
- Good command of English, both verbal and written.
