Job summary
Our client is looking for an experienced General Manager to lead their business in Vietnam. The role will be based in Ho Chi Minh City.
Job Responsibilities
Strategic Leadership & Operational Excellence
- Define and drive short- and long-term strategic plans aligned with the company’s vision and market potential.
- Establish and optimize efficient operational models across warehouse and storage facilities.
- Lead company-wide budgeting, P&L management, and ensure financial resilience and performance.
Operation & Warehouse Management
- Oversee day-to-day operations of storage systems.
- Streamline warehouse operations: inbound/outbound logistics, stock handling, and material flow.
- Deploy modern WMS platforms, automation solutions, and cutting-edge technologies (e.g., IoT, RFID) to enhance productivity and traceability.
Revenue Growth & P&L Management
- Identify and pursue expansion opportunities through strategic partnerships, M&A, and network growth.
- Lead major customer relationships, negotiate long-term contracts, and ensure client satisfaction.
Talent & Culture Development
- Build and retain high-performing executive and operational teams.
- Promote a performance-driven, compliant, and safety-focused workplace culture.
- Lead succession planning and implement staff development strategies.
Risk & Compliance Governance
- Ensure strict compliance with food safety, fire safety, environmental, and regulations.
- Proactively manage business risks—legal, operational, and financial—to safeguard company assets and reputation.
Experience requirements
- 10+ years of experience in logistics/warehousing, including 5+ years in senior leadership (CEO/COO level)—preferably with deep exposure to warehouse/storage environments.
- Strong command of warehouse infrastructure, WMS.
- Demonstrated success in strategy execution, team leadership, and change management.
- Sharp commercial acumen with excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills.
- Experience leading medium to large-scale enterprises with complex logistics systems is a plus.
Education requirements
- Bachelor’s or higher degree in Business, Supply Chain, Industrial Engineering, or Logistics.
