Job summary

The Head of Sakes is responsible for leading and driving our retail business in Vietnam. This role focuses on developing and executing go-to-market strategies, expanding product presence in the retail/pharmacy channel, and managing a high-performing sales team to deliver sustainable growth and market share.

Job Responsibilities

Strategic Leadership:

Develop and implement the retail business strategy aligned with overall company goals.

Identify market opportunities and design commercial plans to grow the OTC portfolio.


Sales & Channel Management:

Lead, manage, and coach the national retail sales team (including KAMs, supervisors, and field force).

Build strong relationships with retail chains, wholesalers, and pharmacy networks.

Monitor and ensure achievement of sales targets, KPIs, and profitability across regions.


Brand & Market Development:

Work closely with marketing teams to ensure alignment of brand plans and in-store execution.

Oversee market intelligence activities and adapt strategies accordingly.

Strengthen our presence in OTC, pharmacy-dispensed Rx, and women’s health segments.


Operational Excellence:

Forecast demand and coordinate with supply chain and finance teams for stock and budget planning.

Ensure compliant business practices and adherence to internal and industry regulations.


Team Development:

Attract, retain, and develop talent within the retail team.

Foster a culture of accountability, integrity, and performance excellence.

Experience requirements

  • Minimum 10 years of experience in pharmaceutical/retail business, with at least 3–5 years in a leadership role.
  • Strong network in Vietnam’s retail pharmacy channel and knowledge of local market dynamics.
  • Proven track record of delivering sales growth and leading high-performing teams.
  • Excellent leadership, negotiation, and strategic thinking skills.


Education requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Pharmacy/ Business/ Marketing, or a related field; MBA is a plus.
