Job Responsibilities

1. Leadership and Team Development:

  • Lead, mentor, and coach a team of engineers to improve technical capabilities, ensuring consistent quality of service.
  • Provide training programs to ensure technical staff are up to date on the latest product knowledge and industry standards.
  • Create a culture of accountability and proactive communication within the team.

2. Technical Operations Management:

  • Oversee the warranty, maintenance, and repair processes of all medical devices, ensuring timely and high-quality services.
  • Develop and implement standard operating procedures (SOPs) for repair, maintenance, and reporting processes.
  • Monitor and ensure that all technical activities comply with company policies and
  • industry regulations.

3. Reporting and Case Management:

  • Ensure that all engineers record, document, and report cases of equipment malfunction, damage, or quality issues promptly.
  • Analyze reported cases and coordinate with international engineering teams to develop long-term solutions and product improvements.

4. Collaboration with Global Teams:

  • Work closely with engineers from BTL headquarters and other international teams to solve technical issues and implement quality improvement strategies.
  • Act as the primary technical liaison between BTL Vietnam and the global engineering team, ensuring seamless communication and efficient problem-solving.

5. After-Sales Service Strategy:

  • Develop and execute strategies for after-sales services, focusing on customer satisfaction, product quality assurance, and service efficiency.
  • Contribute to the development of business through after-sales service by ensuring high quality customer care and providing added value through technical services.
  • Forecast and prepare for potential technical issues and implement preventive measures to minimize downtime.

6. Business Support:

  • Support sales and business teams by ensuring the technical department contributes to overall business growth.
  • Ensure that the technical department is aligned with business goals, contributing to improved product quality, efficient service, and ultimately increased revenue through after-sales services.

7. Continuous Improvement:

  • Lead initiatives to improve technical processes, product quality, and service delivery.
  • Provide feedback and recommendations to the R&D team for product enhancements and
  • future development.

Experience requirements

  • Educational Background: Bachelor’s degree in Biomedical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related
  • field. Advanced degree preferred.
  • Experience: Minimum 5 years of experience in technical service or engineering roles, with at least 2 years in a leadership position in the medical devices industry.
  • Technical Skills: Proven expertise in the repair, maintenance, and troubleshooting of medical equipment. Knowledge of medical device regulations and standards is essential.
  • Leadership Skills: Strong ability to lead, train, and develop a team of engineers.
  • Language Proficiency: Excellent communication skills in English (both written and verbal).
  • Able to work with international teams effectively.
  • Strategic Thinking: Strong business acumen with the ability to develop and implement aftersales strategies that contribute to business growth.
  • Problem-Solving: Proven track record of solving complex technical problems, improving product quality and driving operational efficiency.
  • Proactive Attitude: Self-driven and highly organized, with the ability to manage multiple tasks and lead a team effectively

Education requirements

  • Educational Background: Bachelor’s degree in Biomedical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related

field. Advanced degree preferred.
