Job summary
Adecco's client - an international electronics manufacturer is looking for Indirect Purchasing Manager to join their talented team, based around Ho Chi Minh city.
Job Responsibilities
- Procurement Strategy:
- Develop and implement indirect purchasing strategies to optimize cost, quality, and delivery for non-production-related goods and services (IT, office supplies, facilities, MRO, logistics, etc.).
- Identify cost-saving opportunities and process improvements across indirect spend categories.
- Supplier Management:
- Source, evaluate, and manage relationships with suppliers to ensure reliable and high-quality services.
- Conduct supplier assessments, negotiate contracts, and establish key performance indicators (KPIs) to drive supplier performance.
- Develop and maintain long-term relationships with strategic suppliers, ensuring competitive pricing and risk mitigation.
- Contract Negotiation and Compliance
- Lead contract negotiations with vendors, ensuring favorable terms on pricing, delivery, and quality.
- Ensure compliance with company policies, regulations, and industry standards in all procurement activities.
- Manage contract lifecycle, including renewals and terminations, while ensuring appropriate legal and financial approvals.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration:
- Work closely with internal departments (Engineering, Finance, HR, IT) to ensure indirect procurement aligns with business objectives.
- Collaborate with the production team to ensure non-production materials and services are supplied in a timely manner without impacting production schedules.
- Cost Management & Budgeting:
- Monitor and report on indirect procurement budget and expenditures.
- Identify areas for cost reduction and implement cost-control initiatives.
- Conduct spend analysis and market research to support decision-making.
- Process Improvement:
- Continuously improve purchasing processes to increase efficiency and reduce procurement cycle times.
- Leverage technology (ERP systems, procurement platforms) to streamline workflows and enhance data accuracy in purchasing operations
Experience requirements
- Minimum of 5-7 years of experience in indirect purchasing, preferably in the electronics manufacturing sector.
- Strong negotiation skills and experience in managing supplier relationships.
- Knowledge of procurement best practices, cost-saving strategies, and contract management.
- Proficiency in ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle) and Microsoft Office tools.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
- Experience in managing multiple indirect spend categories.
- Familiarity with electronics industry standards and procurement regulations.
- Experience with sustainability initiatives in procurement.
Education requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field.
