Job summary
Adecco's client, a global leader in automotive safety systems, is looking for an IT Data Analyst to join their team.
Job Responsibilities
• Data Hub Management & Data Governance:
o Collaborate with the regional IT team to implement, maintain, and support the local and regional Data Hub.
o Ensure data accuracy, security, privacy, retention, and backup within the Data Hub.
o Serve as the primary point of contact for business requirements or issues related to databases, data lakes, data warehouses, ETL processes, and APIs.
o Ensure compliance with data governance policies and global data protection laws (e.g., GDPR).
• Data Analytics & User Empowerment:
o Train and coach local business users on accessing data and utilizing tools such as Power BI and Excel for data analysis.
o Occasionally develop complex data analytic reports, when necessary, especially when users require additional support.
• Application Support & Incident Management:
o Achieve high levels of customer satisfaction by providing professional and timely support to business users. Provide on-call or on-site support when necessary.
o Provide first-line support for issues related to local systems and applications.
o Proactively follow up with regional or global IT teams to resolve issues related to regional/global applications.
o Perform root cause analysis for recurring issues, preventing future incidents, and improving system performance.
o Monitor system performance and escalate any concerns to the IT Country Manager.
• Cross-team Collaboration & Project Management:
o Lead and collaborate with regional, global IT teams, and external developers for application development and enhancements.
o Communicate project progress, risks, and outcomes with stakeholders, ensuring that project timelines are met.
o Continuous Improvement & Innovation:
o Conduct regular risk assessments to identify vulnerabilities in data systems and applications.
o Implement data backup and disaster recovery strategies to ensure business continuity in case of a system failure or data loss.
• Continuously evaluate processes, and applications, identifying areas for improvement and recommending innovative solutions.
o Explore opportunities for automation in repetitive tasks related to data management, reporting, and support.
• Training & Development:
o Develop and deliver training programs for business users on data tools like Power BI, Excel, and internal applications.
o Continuously pursue self-development by learning new IT trends, tools, and methodologies to bring added value to the organization.
• Other Responsibilities:
o Perform other tasks as assigned by the IT Country Manager
Experience requirements
• Minimum of 3 years of experience in data management and end-user application support.
• Hands-on experience providing first-line support for local systems and applications, troubleshooting, and issue resolution.
• Experience collaborating with regional/global IT teams and external vendors.
Technical Expertise
• Strong understanding of database management, design, and concepts, including data lakes, data warehouses, ETL processes, and APIs.
• Knowledge of using Microsoft Power BI and Excel for data analysis (including advanced formulas, functions, and data visualization techniques) is a plus.
• Knowledge of data warehousing technologies (preferably Snowflake), Informatica, SQL, and .Net C# is a plus.
• Familiarity with data security practices, including data backup, data privacy, and regulatory compliance (e.g., GDPR) is a plus.
Skills
• Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills to diagnose and resolve complex issues related to data management and application performance.
• Proficiency in English is mandatory.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to explain complex technical concepts to both technical and non-technical personnel.
• Ability to provide training and coaching to business users on data tools like Power BI and Excel, promoting a self-service data culture.
• Strong interpersonal skills to work collaboratively across teams, including regional and global IT teams.
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision, managing multiple tasks and priorities effectively.
• Attention to detail, with a focus on business security, data accuracy, and adherence to governance and compliance requirements.
• Prior experience in a manufacturing environment and familiarity with ERP systems, ServiceNow Change Management, or system development are added advantages.
• Strong customer service orientation, with the ability to achieve high levels of satisfaction through timely and effective support.
• Ability to adapt to flexible working hours based on department needs.
Education requirements
· Bachelor’s degree in information technology, Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or related fields.
