Job summary

Our client is one of the leading pharmacy chains in Vietnam.

Job Responsibilities

1.    Supplier Management

-         Develop relationships with key suppliers beyond tactical relationship, leading to Pharmacity being Key Accounts for key suppliers.

-         Engage new suppliers in the big picture opportunity with Pharmacity

-         Develop partner relationships.

-         Develop cross functional team work with suppliers (I.e. involving marketing, supply chain and retail).

-         Lead Joint Business Plans (JBPs)

-         Manage Trading Term Agreement (TTA) process effectively with little input from CCO & TD other than when escalated.

2.    Customer Understanding

-         Regularly visit stores to gain customer insights

-         Coordinate with Marketing, Digital and BI teams for data and report.

-         Build category offer based on customer understanding, especially the prescribed (Rx) medicine.

-         Understand the Medicine market and Hospital tender process to direct the team to proper actions and ensure the product range at Pharmacity, fulfil the prescriptions from Hospitals and Clinics as well as to drive more prescriptions from Hospital and Clinics to the stores.

3.    Category management

-         Manage overall process, support and coach team to improve their skills and category reviews.

-         Set and manage schedule for team.

4.    Comply with the Company’s processes, procedures, regulations, and standards.

5.    Do alignment about the individual KPIs with the direct line manager and ensure the target achievement.

6.    Implement other tasks at line manager assigned.

7.    Organization & Team Management

-         Develop divisional/departmental organizational structure, job descriptions, budget to perform the company strategies/goals. Ensure periodical review or whenever necessary.

-         Develop divisional/departmental and individual KPIs, do alignment with direct line manager and ensure the target achievement.

-         Cascade targets to subordinates by assigning KPIs, giving instructions, supporting for achieving the targets and ensuring performance appraisal as requested.

-         Build-up and develop the team, organize and assign tasks, manage the team performance; implement the employees’ competence evaluation and have professional development activities to fix gap between the current and expectation.

-         Deliver training of processes, procedures, work standards/instructions to subordinates, and ensure the compliance within the delegated function.

-         Create best practices for the teams in the systematic approach and ensure activities are delivered in line with these best practices (Includes SOPs, process, policies, work instructions, improvement ideas).

Motivate, encourage employee engagement and ensure a positive work environment.

Experience requirements

Education

Bachelor's or Master’s degree in Business Administration, Commerce, or Pharmaceutical (preferred).

Languages

Fluent in English (reading, listening, writing, and speaking).

Computer Skills

Proficient in MS Office and ERP systems.

Work Experience

  • Minimum 2-4 years in a Manager or Middle Manager role at a retail corporate in Vietnam or international retail companies operating in Vietnam.
  • At least 2-4 years of experience in the pharmaceutical industry with a strong understanding of the hospital tender process.

Education requirements

Education

Bachelor's or Master’s degree in Business Administration, Commerce, or Pharmaceutical (preferred).
