Job summary
Adecco's client - a global consumer electronics manufacturer is looking for a highly capable Operation Program Manager to join its project team in Vietnam. This incumbent will be leading cross-functional operational programs that drive business performance across new product development (NPD), cost reduction, continuous improvement, and localization initiatives. The OPM acts as the central coordinator between Engineering, Manufacturing, Supply Chain, and Quality to ensure project goals are achieved in alignment with business objectives.
Job Responsibilities
- Lead end-to-end operational planning and execution for new product introductions and lifecycle changes.
- Drive cross-functional alignment between engineering, manufacturing, supply chain, quality, and procurement to meet project goals.
- Own factory readiness and production ramp-up schedules, ensuring timely and cost-effective delivery.
- Identify and mitigate program risks across the supply chain, production, and operational areas.
- Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) such as cost, yield, throughput, and schedule adherence.
- Coordinate change management activities (ECOs, supplier transitions, etc.) with minimal impact to production.
- Interface with suppliers and contract manufacturers to ensure quality, capacity, and on-time delivery.
- Act as the voice of operations in product development meetings, advocating for manufacturability, scalability, and cost-efficiency.
- Support continuous improvement and lean manufacturing initiatives post-launch.
Experience requirements
- 5+ years of experience in operations, manufacturing, or program management within automotive, aerospace, consumer electronics or high-tech industries.
- Proven track record in launching hardware products into mass production.
- Strong project management skills with the ability to handle complex timelines and multiple stakeholders.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills; capable of influencing across functions and levels.
- Familiarity with manufacturing processes such as PCBA, mechanical assembly, testing, etc.
- Experience working with overseas suppliers or contract manufacturers (especially in Asia) is a plus.
Education requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Supply Chain, Business, or related field
