Plant Manager

Job summary

Adecco's client - a leading agri commodities manufacturer with its global presence across many countries is looking for a Plant Manager who oversees the full operational management, asset optimization, and strategic performance.

Job Responsibilities

• Plant Operations Management:
• Lead overall plant operations, ensuring safety, productivity, quality, and cost targets are consistently achieved.
• Monitor daily production performance and drive operational excellence through proactive problem solving and continuous improvement.
• Coordinate production scheduling aligned with raw material availability, demand forecast, and inventory levels.
• Ensure full compliance with safety, environmental, and food safety standards (HACCP, GMP, ISO, etc.).
• Asset Management & Maintenance:
• Develop and execute robust preventive and predictive maintenance programs to ensure equipment reliability and extend asset lifespan.
• Oversee capital expenditure projects including equipment upgrades, capacity expansion, and facility improvements.
• Optimize asset utilization to balance production capacity, maintenance costs, and long-term asset value.
• Ensure effective spare parts management and critical equipment monitoring.
• Financial & Cost Control:
• Prepare and manage operational and capital budgets, ensuring cost-effective use of resources.
• Analyze production and maintenance KPIs to identify cost-saving opportunities.
• Partner with procurement and finance teams to drive cost efficiencies across operations.
• Leadership & Team Development:
• Lead and develop cross-functional teams including production, maintenance, quality, and warehouse.
• Foster a culture of safety, accountability, continuous learning, and performance excellence.
• Provide coaching, mentoring, and succession planning for key operational roles.
• Regulatory Compliance & External Relations:
• Ensure strict compliance with all local and international regulations related to environmental protection, labor law, food safety, and operational licenses.
• Maintain strong relationships with external stakeholders such as suppliers, auditors, government agencies, and community organizations.

Experience requirements

• Minimum 10 years of progressive plant management or asset management experience in food & beverage processing, food manufacturing, or similar industries.
• Strong knowledge of processing equipment, utilities, plant automation, and preventive maintenance systems.
• Experience with CAPEX project management, asset lifecycle planning, and long-term facility strategy.
• Solid financial management skills with experience managing OPEX and CAPEX budgets.
• Familiarity with global standards such as HACCP, GMP, ISO 9001/14001, FSSC22000, etc.
• Strong leadership, communication, and people management skills.
• Proficiency in English and relevant ERP systems.

Education requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Food Processing, or related field.
