Job summary

Our client is a Europe company in Power - Energy Infrastructure within Industrial Zones. They work closely with Industrial clients of different sectors as well as Industrial Zone to drive energy transition in Vietnam.

Job Responsibilities

1/ Project finance

In the process of debt raising, with the support from the Headquarters (regional and global) finance team if relevant, prepare all supporting documents (teaser, data rooms), coordinate the due diligence process with internal teams and external advisors, and negotiate terms and conditions and documentation.

  • Build a strong network with local, regional, and international banks, DFIs, etc.
  • Responsible for the monitoring, compliance of the loan agreement and reporting related to existing debt financing.

2/ M&A

Coordinate the evaluation of M&A opportunities (shortlisting – conducting due diligence – submitting offers – transaction documents negotiations – closing the transaction)

  • Lead the preparation of all key memos (board presentations, valuation notes, etc.) pertaining to M&A opportunities.
  • Build/Maintain the right factors in financial modeling, key assumptions, etc., and adapt the model when necessary.
  • Create and update the M&A deal pipeline.
  • Review and improve systematic approach to shortlist and process deals, in coordination with all involved teams.

3/ Others

  • Oversee the production of financial models for renewable energy generation/energy efficiency projects/assets.
  • Manage working relationships with external advisors (developers, lawyers, technical advisors, debt providers, EPC contractors, etc.) in Vietnam and/or in the region (if any).
  • Travel on business trips as required by the manager.

Experience requirements

  • Strong analytical and corporate finance skills: Able to understand and assess value & and value drivers for contemplated M&A and financing opportunities. Solid understanding of project finance concepts
  • Highly resourceful, organized, and comfortable working in an unstructured, entrepreneurial environment where teamwork is key.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills: Able to effectively present proposals to the leadership team and external stakeholders including investors. Builds and maintains excellent relationships with external advisors and other internal and external stakeholders.
  • Strong negotiation and deal-making skills: depending on the project, will either support or lead negotiations and structuring debt financing and M&A deals.
  • Strong problem-solving skills: Able to identify and evaluate complex financing or M&A opportunities and develop creative solutions to overcome challenges and barriers.
  • Ability to work well under pressure: Need to be able to handle multiple tasks and deadlines effectively.
  • Detail-oriented with a strong sense of personal responsibility and ownership of work tasks.

Education requirements

  • Bachelor's or master’s degree in finance, business administration, or a related field
  • From 5 to 7 years of experience in finance or relevant and at least 3 years experience in in infrastructure, renewable energy, investment banking, or other transactional finance.
  • Experience in rooftop solar systems and/or infrastructure in Vietnam will be an advantage.
