Job summary

Our client — a leading player in the Furniture/Sofa Manufacturing — is currently seeking a Purchasing Manager (Chinese Speaking) to join their team in Vietnam.

Job Responsibilities

  • Effectively communicate and resolve issues with both internal teams and external partners.
  • Oversee and guide the purchasing team, including recruitment, training, and performance supervision.
  • Manage contracts, ensuring all vendor agreements and terms are properly handled.
  • Lead negotiations and renegotiations with suppliers, ensuring favorable terms and conditions.
  • Review and manage the bidding process and vendor evaluations to ensure alignment with internal standards and regulatory compliance.
  • Develop and enforce purchasing policies, procedures, and contract management guidelines.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date purchasing records and documentation to support audits and internal policies.
  • Monitor and review capital expenditures to ensure alignment with corporate policy.
  • Identify and implement opportunities to reduce costs and improve efficiency.

Experience requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, International Trade, Economics, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 5 years’ experience in a purchasing management role or equivalent.
  • Strong foundation in procurement, supply chain operations, and international trade practices.
  • Solid understanding of cost control, planning, negotiation, and risk assessment in procurement processes.
  • Fluency in English or Chinese is required; candidates with Chinese language skills are preferred.
  • Possesses a logical, proactive mindset with strong communication and time management skills.
  • Comfortable working under pressure and meeting tight deadlines.
  • Detail-oriented and thorough in execution.
