Job summary
Our client is a leading enterprise group in the footwear materials industry.
Job Responsibilities
1. Safety and Compliance
· Responsible for team, machine and operation safety to ensure Zero accident.
· Fully comply with Coats H&S, Compliance and Ethics policies and practices.
· Eliminate potential hazardous factors, ensure a safe working environment through regular review Task Risk Assessment (TaRA)
· Always promotes H&S, Compliance and Ethics best practices through personal leadership (leading by example).
2. Quality management
· Manage effectively quality system through:
· Ensure Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and Work Instructions (WI) are available and up to date for all processes.
· Ensure incoming materials are inspected based on the pre-defined criteria and all testing records are kept within the pre-defined timeline. Only passed materials are released for production. All failed materials are quarantined at a separate area for further review with the suppliers.
· Develop and implement in-process control procedure to involve all operators in checking and reporting non-conforming products (NCP) and ensuring only good quality products are released to next process.
· Develop and implement finished inspection plan to ensure only good quality finished goods are delivered to our customers.
· Conduct regular audit to ensure all SOPs and WIs are followed by production and quality team.
· Handle and resolve customer quality complaints, suggest/implement corrective and preventive actions by root cause analysis to eliminate the reoccurrence of such complaints.
· Set targets and implement measurements to ensure products produced meets the expected quality levels.
· Others as requested by the direct manager
3. System Certification
· Manage effectively the certification of the sites through:
· Support the site manager to identify necessary certifications for the sites to fully align with customers’ expectation and industry requirements.
· Build standard operation procedures, quality management system, etc, to be in line with ISO requirements.
· Lead the certification process of GRS, ISO, HIGG, SLCP and customer audits.
· Others as requested by the manager.
4. People management
· Create a high performing team capable of contributing to continuous improvements and succession planning through:
· Set up and communicate SMART objectives to subordinates.
· Timely feedback, monitor and evaluate performance of subordinates to improve working morale.
· Carry out skill gap analysis for key subordinates and then create and implement appropriate individual development plans (IDP)
· Ensure internal labour regulations are understood by all subordinates and followed properly.
Experience requirements
Experience:
- College graduate or above – preferably textile/ engineering function and/or minimum 5 years’ experience in quality management.
- Experience in GRS, HIGG, ISO certification process is essential
Skills & Ability:
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skill
- Ability to be as organized as possible to schedule, monitor and adjust deadlines and resources as needed.
- Good at time-management, an eye for details.
- Good at communication skill
- Proficiency with Excel and Word
- Fluent in Vietnamese and English
Education requirements
- College graduate or above – preferably textile/ engineering function and/or minimum 5 years’ experience in quality management.
