R&D Manager (Fragrance Field)

Job summary

Adecco's client is a leading global manufacturer in the flavor and fragrance industry, currently seeking an experienced and collaborative R&D Manager – Fragrance to lead our Vietnam-based team. This role focuses on evaluating fragrance samples, proposing tailored solutions for customers, and working closely with regional R&D teams and clients to ensure service excellence.

Job Responsibilities

• Lead the fragrance R&D function in Vietnam and manage a team of 5 staff members.
• Evaluate fragrance samples and develop recommendations tailored to client needs.
• Collaborate closely with internal departments (sales, marketing, technical, etc.) to develop customer-focused solutions.
• Maintain strong communication with the regional and global R&D teams.
• Foster a positive, collaborative, and service-oriented work culture.
• Ensure smooth daily operations of the representative office’s R&D function.
• Deliver high-quality technical support and service to clients.

Experience requirements

• Minimum 5–7 years of experience in fragrance development or R&D in the fragrance, cosmetic, or FMCG industries.
• Deep understanding of fragrance formulation, ingredients, and regulatory requirements.
• Strong project management and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to balance creativity with scientific rigor.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
• Fluent in English (spoken and written).

Education requirements

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, Cosmetic Science, or related field.
