Job summary
Adecco's client - A foreign direct investment (FDI) company specializing in the production of high-quality beverages. Leveraging advanced technology and rigorous quality control, they are committed to delivering superior products to consumers is seeking talented R&D Supervisor to join their team.
Job Responsibilities
1. Quality Control Operations
- Supervise daily QC operations, including sampling, testing, and inspection of raw materials, packaging materials, and finished products.
- Monitor production lines to ensure compliance with quality standards and specifications.
- Identify and resolve quality issues in real time to minimize production downtime.
2. Documentation and Compliance
- Maintain accurate records of QC activities, including test results, non-conformances, and corrective actions.
- Ensure compliance with local and international quality standards (e.g., ISO, HACCP, GMP).
- Prepare and present quality reports to management.
3. Team Management
- Train, coach, and supervise the QC team to enhance their technical skills and knowledge.
- Assign and manage workloads to ensure smooth daily operations.
- Conduct regular performance evaluations and provide feedback for continuous improvement.
4. Process Improvement
- Analyze quality data and trends to identify areas for improvement.
- Recommend and implement changes to processes and procedures to enhance product quality.
- Collaborate with the production and R&D teams to resolve quality issues and improve formulations.
5. Health, Safety, and Environment (HSE)
- Promote and enforce safety protocols within the QC team.
Ensure all QC activities are conducted in a safe and environmentally responsible manner.1. Product Development
- Lead the development of new beverage formulations based on market trends and consumer needs.
- Improve existing products by enhancing quality, taste, shelf life, and cost-effectiveness.
- Conduct trials and testing to ensure new products meet company standards and regulatory requirements.
2. Research and Analysis
- Research new ingredients, technologies, and processes to support product innovation.
- Analyze market trends and competitor products to identify opportunities for differentiation.
- Evaluate and select raw materials in collaboration with the procurement and QC teams.
3. Documentation and Compliance
- Prepare detailed technical documentation, including specifications, test results, and formulation records.
- Ensure all R&D activities comply with local and international food safety and regulatory standards (e.g., FDA, ISO, HACCP).
- Assist in obtaining certifications for new products as needed.
4. Team Management
- Supervise, train, and mentor the R&D team to develop their technical skills and creativity.
- Assign tasks and manage workloads to meet project timelines.
- Conduct performance evaluations and set development goals for team members.
5. Cross-Functional Collaboration
- Work closely with the production team to scale up formulations and resolve production challenges.
- Collaborate with marketing and sales teams to ensure new products align with market needs.
- Partner with the QC team to ensure product quality and consistency.
6. Continuous Improvement
- Implement new technologies and methodologies to enhance R&D processes.
- Drive initiatives to optimize cost, quality, and innovation in product development.
Experience requirements
Skills & Competencies
- Strong knowledge of food and beverage formulation, processing, and packaging.
- Familiarity with regulatory and quality standards (e.g., ISO, HACCP, FDA).
- Excellent problem-solving, analytical, and project management skills.
- Proficiency in using formulation software and laboratory equipment.

Education requirements
Education & Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in Food Science, Food Technology, Chemistry, or a related field.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in R&D within the food or beverage industry, with at least 2 years in a supervisory role.
- Proven track record of successful product development and innovation.
