Job summary
Our client is a growing MNC in automated machinery and robot manufacturing looking for a Asia Finance Controller to join their team.
Job Responsibilities
- Ensure that accounting practices, procedures, and internal controls across Asia entities are consistent with both corporate policies and local regulations.
- Review and analyze financial statements for Asian operations, highlighting key variances and communicating insights to both local and corporate leadership to flag potential risks and opportunities.
- Assist in the implementation of the D365 ERP system in collaboration with the corporate team.
- Manage the coordination of both statutory and corporate audits across Asia, working closely with local and corporate accounting teams.
- Act as a liaison with the corporate office, proactively addressing regional accounting and compliance issues with the CFO.
- Oversee compliance with cash management policies across the group and handle cash operations for entities lacking in-house accounting functions.
- Maintain strong internal controls over all cash-related transactions and banking activities.
- Ensure the timely and accurate submission of all local tax filings.
- Work with the global tax team to ensure compliance with the company’s transfer pricing policy in all intercompany dealings within Asia.
- Collaborate with regional business leaders, the VP of Asia, and the corporate FP&A team to respond to financial and strategic needs.
- Drive performance and alignment within the regional accounting teams, fostering a culture that reflects the organization’s values and objectives.
- Identify skill gaps and coordinate relevant training to support regional expansion.
- Cultivate a collaborative, inclusive, and high-performance work environment, emphasizing quality and ongoing improvement.
Experience requirements
- A Bachelor's degree in Accounting is required.
- Over 10 years of experience in a comparable role within a multinational organization.
- Proven experience handling local GAAP adjustments in coordination with an overseas head office.
- Strong expertise in streamlining and aligning processes for greater efficiency.
