Senior Data Engineer

Job summary

A leading technology company in super-app is currently looking for a (Middle/Senior) Full Stack Engineer to be based in Ho Chi Minh City.

Job Responsibilities

About the team

Customer Data Platform (CDP) enables Teams to onboard and register customer data and make it available for Online Serving, ML Models, Segmentation, and Real Time targeting to power personalization use cases across the company.

A day in the life

• Own and maintain Apache Spark and Airflow jobs that powers a large portion of Customer Data to ensure that it is highly available for critical downstream use cases.
• Refactor, optimize, and migrate existing data pipelines to ensure better maintainability of customer data.

Experience requirements

Basic Qualifications

• Proficient in at least one of the following: Python, Go, or Scala and strong appetite to learn other programming languages.
• You have 3-5 years of relevant professional experience in Data Engineering
• Strong experience with Spark (SparkSQL, Python APIs) and ETL pipeline development.
• Proficient with PrestoSQL / HiveSQL and Delta Lake architecture.
• Hands-on experience in data lineage tracing and column-level dependency mapping.
• Familiarity with Airflow and large-scale pipeline orchestration.
• Strong communication and stakeholder management skills, with ability to manage schema change rollouts across teams.
• Experience with GitLab, CI/CD, Python OOP, and modular code design.
• Fluent in English (work with team regional)

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience working on backend services; particular with the Go programming language.
• Good understanding of AWS
• Experience working on large scale data architecture and systems powering critical downstream systems
• Terraform (infrastructure-as-code, especially S3/IAM policies

Education requirements
